Here’s to not Being Super Human
Working in the personal development world, running a coaching practice and being dedicated to self-growth I hear terms like, superhuman, invincible and warrior utilized often.
I have used them too when referring to the fullest of human potential.
It can feel absolutely powerful connecting to and owning that side of our experience.
There are times in my life where I have not felt anywhere close to superhuman or invincible, in fact, at those extremely low times, I have felt 180 degrees the opposite.
I have learned personally that admitting my weaknesses, owning up to my mistakes, and accepting where I have failed has a remarkable sense of power in it.
The greatest freedoms have come from not needing to be strong.
Humbleness is a strength.
Over my 52 years, if I measure the times I had confidence, knowing and strength versus the times I had none of these, I am pretty sure the not knowing, lack of confidence side would have a greater tally, by far.
There have been more times where I have doubted, felt worried, and not had the answers yet it is that very struggle that fueled the desire to rise up and grow.
I have learned to love the down times for it is fueling that which I am becoming.
Yes, it is not always easy having that perspective in the middle of heartache, betrayal, abuse, or abandonment, yet there will be a day when all the pain had a purpose.
My life is evidence of this knowing, and I am sure your life is too.
So here is to you and me and everyone we know embracing the sides of themselves that are not superhuman, not invincible, not always feeling like the warrior inside and learning to love the places that hurt.
Together we rise through the tough times to become the strongest versions of ourselves.
If no one has reminded you today… let me share what I know to be absolutely true…
You are not alone.
You matter.
You are strong.
You have purpose to LIFE itself.
Sending you hugs and love,
Tina Marie
