Bio:

I used to feel like a misfit that was just taking space in this world. I turned to drugs and sex as a way to try to fit in, to feel loved, and accepted. After a course of some really bad decisions, I found myself homeless on the streets of Jacksonville Florida, and prostituting as a means of survival. I was incarcerated 16 times with a record of two felonies and fourteen misdemeanors. I had hit rock bottom. I didn’t care about my life and I certainly didn’t care about the lives of those around me. That proved to be true when I started sharing dirty needles just so that I could get high. And then in 2005, I attempted suicide. But God! As much as I was ready to exit this life, God had a better plan and purpose for me. I rededicated my life to the Lord in 2007. By 2009 I had a personal training certification. And by 2014 I stood on stage and competed in my first bodybuilding show; competed four times. I realized through my fitness journey that you can be physically fit, but if you are not mentally and spiritually fit you are out of alignment. Now I am on a mission to see women restored back to their wholeness in Christ.  To achieve it, I launched MisFit Ministries. A nonprofit that serves a one-hour workout for women using a totalfit methodology, seeking optimal health through body, mind, and spirit.  My heart is for the misfits. For women that have felt like they can’t find their place in this world and have turned to drugs, sex, money, and materials as a means of fulfillment. Right now we are targeting transition homes, rehabs, sober living homes, etc. When prisons open back up we hope to get in there as well. I believe God has equipped me with the tools and the experience, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we will see life transformation. We will see women believe in themselves again. We will see women begin to live out their God-given assignments.
