How to Develop Daily Habits for Massive Growth

Having a daily routine you believe in, utilize and depend on can bring you a sense of inner peace, energy, and self trust.  From a powerful morning routine, or a disciplined afternoon break, and an end of day celebration, habitual daily routines aid in our own ‘inner therapy’.

In my life when I look back to the times I really began to understand the workings of success, the common most life giving patterns did not revolve around sales scripts, follow up techniques, the perfect close or most “crushing it”, as they say in success terminology, I recognize clear patterns of self care, connection to a spiritual practice, and a power to think differently about any and all circumstances. I call it “Living Above The Line” and I want to share it with you.

Even in my twenties I knew the pursuit for wealth, success and growth was not rooted in achievement, yet, strongly in fulfillment. When a soul is nourished, success is imminent. When a soul is in pain and longing, success will remain a distant dream.

A Morning Routine

You may have heard this so many times before, and I want you to underline, italicize and bold this next sentence. When we begin our day honoring ourselves first we gain the power, focus, energy and creativity to have amazing days. When we claim the start of a new day, design it with our own imaginations, and feel as though we love ourselves first, the world opens up to us. With a dedicated, power infused, morning routine our souls ignite, the Universe smiles and all that the new day holds, be it great, not so great or even painful, will be met with our best selves. We will bring effortlessness to our lives, our businesses, our careers and our relationships.

A loved morning routine is better than the best cup of coffee, albeit the coffee can still come included.

One of my clients took my morning routine checklist and decided she wanted to DO IT ALL! Then came back to me for our coaching session two weeks later and said, she did not have time for all of it… so, together, we paired it down to what worked best for her. Use the Morning Routine Checklist to design your own morning routine that feels fueled and alive.

Taking care of yourself

Now how many times have you said that you need to start taking care of yourself more? Many of us put others first in our lives. It’s easy to do, we love the people around us and we want them to be happy, healthy, and feel loved. And we also know that the number one person that needs to be taken care of for lives is us.

In my late 20’s, I was caring for two small children, ages three and five, running a multi million dollar consulting firm, and had enrolled to continue my education and get my masters.

The number one saving grace through this beautiful time of expansion and growth, was that I had routines in place to exercise, eat very healthy, and meditate. My personal self care practice and mindset was unshakable.

I realize that the energy I had to meet my day was first sparked by me realizing I needed to take care of myself first or all the people around me, my family, my business, my customers would have all been getting scraps.

What ways do you know you must take care of yourself more? Are there any health issues that you’re experiencing now that you need to find attention for and get cleared up? Do you know that your diet is ultimately healthy and energizing you? Do you have a regular exercise, stretch, repair routine for your body? Write down the things that pop into your mind and put a clear plan of action together to make these items happen.

You are the only you you have. Taking care of yourself every single day will lead to immediate levels of new success, wealth, happiness, for fulfillment.

Meditate

In my early 20s I had investigated multiple forms of meditation to find one that fit most readily with my spiritual beliefs, and connectedness to my soul. I practiced Buddhist meditation, Sufi meditations, Hindu meditations, Jesuit meditations, and even walking meditation‘s borrowed from Wiccan traditions, as a deep return to nature and its healing powers.

My personal spiritual practices and meditations come from a blend of what I’ve learned over the last 28 years of my spiritual study. I can honestly say that I absolutely connect my practice of spiritual connectedness with the levels of success and fulfillment I have experienced in my lifetime.

If ever the success of my businesses, my life, my health, my relationships ever feel out of sorts, strained, frustrating, or as though there is a lack of flow, I reach first to meditation and stillness. I go deep into the practice of presencing and speaking in and through the field of consciousness that is always with us.

I am no meditation master, however I do highly suggest for your own peace of mind, sense of purpose in our world, and success in all you do, advise you to find a meditative practice that works for you, and keep doing it.

Find joy in the journey to your inner self. Be patient with your mind, it has not yet has reins on it and may want to jump around a bit. It is not broken, only undisciplined. Once trained, and honored, the mind is a powerful conduit of focus, manifestation and grace.

Imagine a large source of pure energy without a container, it would destroy all in its path. With meditation, your mind settles. You will be able to focus its energy and command its power. Your mind has been waiting on you to direct it.

Know what you truly want

Creating massive growth in your life requires knowing exactly what you want. This is an area where many people get tripped up. With the understanding that we can create almost any outcome that we desire, we can easily get confused as to what direction to head in. I personally utilize a checklist that I keep organized in a digital planner to know what my heart and soul truly want to create, manifest, and experience. Knowing what we truly want is required to create meaningful results.

Do you not shy away from being specific here. Many people think that if they’re way too specific on a result then they will back themselves into a corner and not reach the result or possibly miss other opportunities that would’ve been also advantageous. Just like ordering the perfect hamburger at a restaurant we need to know exactly what we want on that hamburger. Simply by ordering a hamburger and allowing the kitchen and whoever is back there to make the hamburger however they would love it does not give us the results we are seeking. Be specific with the Universe. It needs to know what your soul desires. In fact, with more specificity there’s this immense smile that develops in the field of consciousness because it knows it can win. If we leave way too much ambiguity in the equation the field of consciousness can’t be set up for a win and will fall short on what you desire. Nobody wants to just be known as merely good enough they want to know be known as spectacular. If you’re wanting extraordinary results in your life, choose specificity. Know what you want and revisit your list daily. Do not shy away from writing out your desires and getting in touch with them on a very frequent basis. This is the key success formula for those people that know exactly how to go for what they want and make the results happen quickly.

When we know what we want we will be able to quickly discern what is not in order or not on the path. We can easily handle distractions and be more respectful of our time and resources. We can easily allow the opinions of others to simply slip away because we know exactly what we want and where we’re headed.

Partner with a person who will help you stay on your course and will remind you of your action steps. This person is best not directly related to you or in relationship with you. You want someone who can hold your feet to the fire and may trigger the sabotaging part ion yourself that wants to fall back to the easy life, far away from the ultimate successes your soul has planned for you.

Focus on three. When we have too many spinning plates we can create our own confusion. Find 2 to 3 goals you want to realize and stay focused – go for the checkmarks. Imagine running a race. You are on a track, you have a cadence and a rhythm to your stride, your breathing. You know where the finishes line is. You know how many laps are in this distance. Stay the course, steady as you go. When we get the checkmarks we gain more energy toward the other things we want to create.

Measure and monitor

Goals are fun to design and dream about yet not achievable unless we measure our progress and monitor what is working and what is not working. Plan out your goals and the steps that it will take to get there. A strategy that I use is to see the goal already finished…it’s in the future. I ask myself, “how long did it take to get there?” And then I chunk back what had to happen right before I reached the goal? What had happened to weeks prior to that in four weeks prior to that? You can do this too, simply chunk back the goal from the vision of it already being done to would had to of happened to make that result possible. In this way we chunk down our goal from something that may feel overwhelming at first, to something that is highly manageable. Then write down the steps put timetables to the steps, put team members next to those steps, include a strong support along the way, and then monitor your progress on a daily basis.

Celebrate

No goal will be ultimately fulfilling unless we celebrate its achievement. Celebration is a factor of our human existence that many of us fail to do fully. We celebrate other people yet rarely celebrate ourselves. Any goal that you want to achieve and create enormous success in requires that you be willing to celebrate your wins not only for yourself but with other people. The more we celebrate the more we achieve. List three ways you can celebrate the goals that are on your list right now. Include other people in your life and what that celebration will look like whenever you achieve your goals. Allow them to take part in your happiness.

Sometimes the mind will make a huge project out of what we want… keep it simple, stack the progress on top of each other, celebrate your wins, and include a tribe in your happiness.
